This union-exempt Program Manager role is ideal for someone looking to impact the lives of children and youth and work as part of an exciting and innovative organization that is committed to the care and support of people with disabilities. The successful candidate will enjoy leading a dedicated team of unionized staff who are working with children and youth in the community.
This is a demanding, challenging and exciting role, requiring an experienced individual with highly developed communication skills and strong supervisory skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to convince and influence others to support our work, by building and maintaining relationships.
- Car & valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A Certificate
- Negative TB test or clear chest x-ray
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
- Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Certification
Qualifications: Post Secondary Certificate in related field, a minimum of one year supervisory experience & two years direct experience supporting people with disabilities.
High School Certificate, related Human Service courses plus a minimum of three years employment providing direct support to adults, children, and/or youth with disabilities.
A suitable combination or education and experience will be considered.
Successful candidate will possess: Experience and/or knowledge of issues affecting people with disabilities, well developed communication skills, effective time management, financial management, knowledge of quality assurance, care and funding structures, intermediate level computer literacy and multitasking skills as well as the ability to deal with change, stress and responsibility.

Position term: Temporary – approximately 1 year to cover maternity leave
This position is 20 hours/week and includes some afterschool, evening and weekend work.
Possibility of increased hours to 37.5 in the fall.
